21 de abril de 2016. A data marcou a precoce despedida de Prince Rogers Nelson – o genial Prince – com apenas 57 anos. Mas sua morte nunca será o fim. Principalmente, em virtude de seu rico arquivo que, aos poucos, chega ao alcance dos fãs.
Seu legado musical continua a encantar o mundo, que agora conta com uma série lançamentos: Prince Anthology: 1995-2010, contendo 37 faixas essenciais do período, além de 23 álbuns de sua discografia no formato digital, incluindo a edição completa de The Golden Experience (1995).
“Ano Prince”
O projeto de reeditar a discografia de Prince permanece firme e forte em 2018. Os fãs do astro nascido em Minneapolis ainda vão contar (cortesia da Sony Legacy Recordings) em 21 de setembro, com Piano and Microphone – uma coleção de nove faixas acústicas gravadas no estúdio Kiowa Trail, Chanhassen, Minnesota. Em abril deste ano, a Legacy já havia disponibilizado a versão original de Nothing Compares 2 U, hit na voz de Sinnead O'Connor em 1990.
